allow me to reintroduce myself
i'm michael capozzi, managing partner at y not you, a forbes-accredited advisory firm i co-built in 2018.
i grew up in the bronx in an italian-american household, where i saw firsthand the dedication and hustle my parents put into everything they did.
i like figuring out how things work and making them run better. at y not you, i focus on the operational side - making sure the backend doesn't fall apart while the front end grows. that means systems architecture, ai and automation strategy.
over the years i rebuilt our entire operation (crm, invoicing, meeting notes, event planning, client records) within notion. something that used to take my team 45-70 minutes to track down now takes 1-3 minutes. that's the caliber of work i bring to client engagements.
some fun facts about me:
- trained in classical piano for 8 years, i play 5+ instruments
- a reader. i aim to finish 12+ books a year
- gamer at heart while preserving and restoring retro consoles
- yes… my beard is red, but my hair is black (with some gray)!
